Channel M presents… SLOW CLUB with very special guests AIR CAV / THE UNSTOPPABLE TEAM & ORCHIDS along side guest DJs and comperes from Channel M.
On Saturday 10th May we host the 3rd monthly events in conjunction with the dandy Mancunian TV station Channel M. It’s not every day that we host a certified legend. Such is Reid’s reputation Aretha Franklin once asserted that "There are only three things happening in London: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Terry Reid." More recently The Raconteurs have been moved to cover ‘Rich Kid Blues’ for their latest album, epitomising Terry’s long-term influence. Tickets are available from the usual outlets.
***MAPS FESTIVAL ON 25TH MAY***
On 25th May Night & Day will host a night in conjunction the MAPS Festival, which takes place across the Northern Quarter from 23-26th May. The festival pulls together the cities finest talent with some big names from further a field. On top of presenting kick-ass rock n roll bands there’s also a bundle of other activities including art. ***HIDE & SEEK FESTIVAL ON 30/31ST MAY***
Speechless with Sound will present four days of gigs, in more than 20 venues, showcasing over 150 acts on 30, 31 May and 1st June. Appearing here across the two days are STEVE DIGGLE (of The Buzzcocks) and THE WALLBIRDS whilst the cream of the local scene have been enlisted as supporting acts. During the daytimes there will be seminars and discussions led by leading industry figures, with a cut of proceeds going to N&D affiliated charity Versus Cancer.
