The words ‘young talent’ get thrown around a lot these days – so much so that raw, emerging mastery can pass people by amongst the noise of the multi-billion-pound music industry. As Manchester based promoters, artists and music lovers, we feel it’s important to present local artists on a stage that attracts not only fans of said artists, but a crowd who may not necessarily have ever be drawn to this underbelly of local talent.

We’ve dedicated this show to that very notion and felt Night & Day Café was the perfect place to achieve this. Expect live PA’s, visuals and DJ-sets throughout the night with party vibes from the get-go til curfew! We’ll keep the price to a minimum but the energy to a maximum so don’t sleep on this one!

One could accurately describe our first headliner as a ‘Jade of all trades’ – simultaneously executing the roles of beat maker, vocalist and visuals producer – a true performer of the arts. Over the years Jade’s outputs have been heavily influenced by but certainly not limited to a futuristic garage vibe, working with legendary Manchester producer Synkro on a number of occasions. Within her recent ‘Reverse Our Steps’ EP lies four productions all entirely unique in style, exhibiting her versatility as a producer. Jade keeps her subs low, her harmonies smooth and the vibes bouncing – we’re in high anticipation of what she brings on the night.

Another local young talent who has his fingers in multiple pots – underground ‘wordsworth’ PROJECTKILLISAIAH has been bubbling away in Old Trafford making a lot of noise over the past year. A poet by design, Isaiah transmitted this into an effortless flow over ambient beats to talk truth to the world through music. The end product is nothing short of awe-inspiring – in its meaningful content to its pure delivery – his sound is infectious. Earlier this year his EP – ‘BEFOREBLEEDS’ – documented the previous seven months of the ongoing project: ‘kill isaiah’, which preceded his debut book ‘Nosebleeds’ in September.‘A voice far older than the poet’s young years’ – as portrayed by his publisher; and a voice we cannot wait to hear on the 12th!

Coming out of Bolton, this 22-year-old rapper and producer is another fine example of an artist ahead of his time. If you appreciate the bounce and complexity of modern trap-inspired beats but never fell out of love with that golden-age hip-hop production style, then you’ve been missing out on Superlative. His raw, eager flow and relatable bars create an aura of humility and honesty around his outputs; demonstrated exquisitely on his ‘Written Free Sundays’ EP released last February. An exciting prospect to say the least, and one we are grateful to have perform.

Based in South Manchester, Inka is an inspired DJ/producer who has been turning heads in the UK underground for a while, mesmerising dancefloors up and down the country with his unmistakeable selections. From the studio, he manages to bend and fuse sub-low frequencies with his own unique influences from the worlds of hip-hop, soul and ambience, creating a trademark Inka-style. Expect to be taken on a journey through sound at his shows, as he sets his own unique productions alongside some of the deepest cuts around. Since Inka’s earlier collaboration with IAMDDB on track ‘Leaned Out’ (almost at 10 million views), his debut album ‘Waveydon Ballads’ was a sell-out success with tapes being shipped all over the world. This international recognition has led the way for Inka to work his magic over-seas in locations such as Munich and Croatia @ Outlook Festival. His focus and passion for his trade suggests this is just the beginning.

Throughout the night Beeswaxx residents will be keeping the vibes alive on the 1s & 2s delivering funk, garage, hip-hop, disco and more – so get down early and don’t miss out!
