THE NIGHT & DAY SHOWCASE
“Energetic drum pounding, bright guitar-riffing and in Amber a very strong vocalist, with a tone pitched somewhere between the Long Blondes and Blondie (but not actually blonde)” For the Rabbits
“The tracks have an insistent, guitar-driven energy across which the vocals are lifted, setting the tone somewhere between urban style and sweet nostalgia” Various Small Flames
“It sounds like they’ve discovered Sarah Record’s secret recipe for alt pop perfection and mixed it with their own brand of contagiously joyful indie to create a moreish musical gem” The Devil Has The Best Tuna
“Hot, sizzling, contrasty, rockin’. Yum” Come Here Floyd
Foundlings are a female-fronted, South-East London band who play melodic, guitar-driven indie-rock music and were recently featured on Tom Robinson’s BBC Radio 6 Music show. The influences of the band range from Post-Punk (Echo and the Bunnymen, Siouxsie, PIL, etc.) and 80’s/90’s British and American Indie (Sleater–Kinney, The Wedding Present, Teenage Fanclub) to modern alternative music, including bands such as: Parquet Courts, Courtney Barnett, Haley Bonar and Alvvays. The band self-released their debut single Misery / Your Sister in March this year, receiving airplay from BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing in the South and Amazing Radio. Foundlings are steadily forming a solid fan base and regularly perform across London and Brighton, with a tour of the North-West planned for late-July. Stay tuned for new releases coming soon.
