THE NIGHT & DAY SHOWCASE

BABYLON

Babylon is a four piece indie rock band formed in early 2017 in Fallowfield, Manchester. The band consists of Dom Ingleby (vocals/ rhythm guitar), James Germaine (lead guitar/ vocals), Brett Paterson (drums) and Will Dickerdike (bass). Gaining popularity from acoustic performances around Manchester recently, and online from the release of Cynic, their sound takes influence and is likened to bands such as Milburn, Oasis and Arctic Monkeys; eager to reignite a sound that had since faded towards the back end of the noughties.

SUGARSTONE

Four-piece Alternative Rock band from Preston, UK. These lads bring something new and exciting to the table, pooling together their diverse, individual music tastes to create a new unique sound echoing the likes of Wolf Alice, Highly Suspect and Nothing But Thieves. Their first debut single ‘Think About It’ released March 2016 on Soundcloud, allowing the new band to experiment with their early sound. Seeking more experience, the four-piece began touring the local gig scene and attracted a crazed young following; they started writing bigger, infectious songs with haunting melodies and guitar solos that stay with you. Aiming to develop their sound further, they approached ‘3507 Studios’ sound designer Nick Sagar who recorded, developed and produced their launch EP ‘Hence My Offence’.  The album was finished and debuted all digital media platforms September 2017. The band continue to write new music, touring their local scene with outreaching gigs around the north-west for their growing fanbase.
“Sick riffs, great vocals. Reminds me of a cross between Nothing But Thieves and Wolf Alice.” Johnny Stevens // Highly Suspect
