THE NIGHT & DAY SHOWCASE
DEAD IN CHELSEA
A collision of influences coming together to form something unrefined yet memorable. Scotty, Migsy and Rob came together in early 2018 to form Dead in Chelsea, releasing their first EP – Sleeping in the Jag in December 2018. The spirit of ’77 clearly isn’t dead.
PERCY
Founded in 1996 PERCY sit amongst the same fertile allotments that sprouted post punk musical legends like The Fall, Gang of Four and PiL. Left-field and lyrical but spooning up a punchy, looping riff that is guaranteed to keep your feet tapping and your head nodding. Originally featuring one of the Housemartins (til 2004) the Happy Hour legacy remains to this day with upbeat energy and a wry twist of fun.
“Percy deliver a twisted but humorous tale of small town humanity in punky rasping Yorkshire tones. Discordant nasty and great fun – your can really hear the venom!” Vic Galloway
” A toe tapping jaw dropper: Life in a northern town on viciously beaten guitars. Think Half Man Half Biscuit meets the Housemartins…” Steve Lamacq
