THE NIGHT & DAY SHOWCASE
Following a few months of recording home demos and reaching the finals of the BBC Radio Cymru Battle of the Bands, Elis Derby has began gigging frequently around North Wales and beyond with the a debut single planned for release before the end of the year. Even though he identifies as a solo artist, he performs with a full band- taking in influences from the Velvet Underground, Mac Demarco, The Beatles and The Strokes to develop his sound. His latest single ‘Prysur Yn Gneud Dim Byd’ is now available on iTunes / Spotify.
Precocious piano-driven songcraft. Brill building classicism with contemporary punch and Lancashire vowels. Like Laura Nyro out on the lash with Nite Jewel and Victoria Wood.
Idle Hands are a Manchester-based five-piece. Twinning rock and psychedelia to create a catalogue of songs that combine catchy tunes with big riffs, they marry the psychedelic roots of bands like Ride, The Coral and The War on Drugs with the big sound of fellow bands from their hometown.
