BEATEN JOHN LIP
Four piece Indie Rock/Pop Band from the Wirral. Luke Piggott vocals + lead guitar / Aaron Ashcroft vocals + guitar / Liam Motley Bass / James Patrick Caul Drums.
Three wizards of instrumental psych-punk whip up a mind melting storm of soaring guitars, fearsome bass and tribal drums. They emerged fully clothed, three years ago from the darkest depths of inner city Leicester. They now split their time between Manchester and Leicester.
Their second album was released in early 2019 and has had radio play across the country, including support from 6 Music’s Stuart Maconie and Tom Robinson.
Completely genre spanning, their influences range from 60s surf, 80s hardcore, 90s indie and modern electronica.
One minute blissful and beautiful, the next raw, visceral and chaotic. Their live set is absolutely not to be missed.
Lose your mind to the tunes and your feet to the grooves.
“The wizards of instrumental psych punk (or so they style themselves here)” Stuart Maconie / BBC 6 Music
“Just three people kicking up an instrumental storm, it’s the kind of commitment and attitude you can’t fake, fantastic track” Tom Robinson / BBC 6 Music
