THE NIGHT & DAY SHOWCASE
Low Orbit is a band consisting of five noise making humans from the North of England. They met and started jamming in Macclesfield as there was nothing else to do. A mutual love of the Foo Fighters spawned some tasty rock riffs, which quickly mutated into the monstrous tracks currently caressing your eardrums. Some say their raucous, untamed grooves are only good for making pigs cry, but those fools collect stamps and eat salad for breakfast. You’re not one of those people, are you?
‘D-Day’ are a 4-piece band from Galway. The band was formed by brothers Darragh (lead guitar, lead vocals) and Keith Whyte (drums & percussion) who joined forces with school friends Chris Breslin (bass, backing vocals) and Cathal Sweeney (rhythm guitar, backing vocals).
After honing their unique mix of ’60s style rock vocals and modern instrumental sound in the practice room, they burst onto the Irish music scene in 2012 supporting ‘Thin Lizzy’ (Volvo Ocean Race Festival). Since then, ‘D-Day’ have been on a non-stop mission to introduce new audiences to their own alternative brand of rock ‘n’ roll sensibility.
“They really are one of the hot up and coming Irish bands.” Ollie Turner / Galway Bay FM
“With a dynamic vocal style reminiscent of early-days Mick Jagger, and catchy, masterly rock n’ roll harmonies and riffs, D-Day are a band on a mission to keep the stripped-back sensibilities of the classics alive in an age where digital reigns king. You don’t want to miss these guys.” Shannon Duvall / YouBloom
“This young Irish Band has a future. A good, crisp professional sound, with a little bit of a 60’s vibe.” The Falcon’s Nest
”Never sacrificing the energy that powers their music – yet somehow managing to give the melodies space to breathe – D-Day are a vital and potent rising force in the music industry today.” James Fleming / Nitelife Magazine
The Debut album ‘Someday Streets’ by UK based band ‘Field Manual’ out now.
“An Americana-insprired road trip as much as a band, this original retro rock quartet echo route 66, mellow vibes and the nostalgia of a direct drive 33.
With a sound that will take you through the wastelands of middle America to the scenic Cali coastline and back to the City That Never Sleeps. Sensitively elevating Americana to visions of the great frontier with a deep sonic twist”.
