THE NIGHT & DAY SHOWCASE
Originating as an acoustic brother and sister duo, ‘Declan Vink’ create heartfelt singer/songwriter tracks combining violin, acoustic guitar and blood harmonies. Now a four-piece band ‘Declan Vink’s’ infatuation with 80’s culture is reflected in brand new tracks dripping with chorused guitars and sprinkled with electronic beats. Inspired by: The 1975, The Japanese House, The Cure, Rhye.
Dollie Demi is a 22 year singer songwriter from Nottingham who met her band in Manchester. She creates a blend of pop, sassy rock and punk within her music. She has released her 3rd single Ruby Lips which was featured on BBC Introducing East Midlands in July. She has been gigging up and down the country for over a year playing in bars in London and Manchester.
Bright Moon is brothers Tom (voice/guitar) & Jim O’Keefe (drums) along with life-long musical cohorts the ‘two Ryans’ – Wilby (bass) and Wilkinson (Voice/Keys/Synths). Bright Moon’s heady brew of pyschedelic pop was cooked up in their bolthole in North Halifax, a derelict farm on the edge of the Yorkshire moors. The band’s ambitious arrangements fuse classic songwriting and the ambient leanings of late era Talk Talk, with a doff of the hat to Wild Beasts, The Smiths and Massive Attack.
The Lamberts are a 5 piece alternative rock band that hail from the foreshore of Cleethorpes. They are a fresh alternative to anything that is on the scene right now, with their heavy back line, beautiful guitar riffs and a crisp sounding front man that has the best stage presence in the area by far. They really are a nice break from the norm. Their first single ‘Tension’ is a great taster of what is to come. They have just released two singles since their first and are destined for big things, their latest, Nightmare, is a slightly haunting and thought provoking excellence piece of work.
“The Lamberts first single, TENSION, is a seed track. It’s planted to grow in the minds of their fans and exhibit the groups desire to blossom. Although it doesn’t smother you in rose petals, it does have a prickly edge that will cut into you if you allow it.” Ashley Spink – EX Bauer Media “The Lamberts are one of the most exciting new bands in the Humber region. This first single captures that raw, garage-band energy while showing their potential to grow into something special in the years to come.” Rob Cross – Orphan Boy
