The Malthusian Trap are an alternative indie band who in a short space of time have become quickly known for their driving beats, catchy bass lines, stand out guitar riffs and lyrical content. A band steeped in musical history inspired by the bands of the Manchester era, rave culture and UK grime.

Their self released debut EP Palpitations was pressed onto vinyl and received acclaim not just for it’s beefy sound but it’s aesthetic design qualities as it was an artistic collaboration with the critically acclaimed street artist Mr Skillmatik.

Ever since bursting onto the scene in Early 2016 The Malthusian Trap have played in virtually every city & town in the UK playing legendary independent venues in the process such as Night & Day, The Jacaranda, Amersham Arms & 229 Venue to name all but a few.

Their sound has been championed by many including blog writers, that public broadcasting company everyone has heard of and minor celebrities but there is no need to brag as the music speaks for itself.

The one thing that is consistent about The Malthusian Trap is that where ever they go they turn heads and for the right reasons. Polished sound, loud but melodic and lyrical content to make you stop and think as much as making you want to dance.

Suburban Symphony are a 5 piece writing songs with memorable vocal melodies, three part harmonies and pounding rhythms since 2014.

Following this, on the 4th Sept 2017 the band then released their self titled debut album which they promoted by supporting The Feeling, From The Jam, Big Country, The Skids and many other established and up and coming acts. Previous to this they also enjoyed performing at Camden Rocks on the same line up as The Cribs and have played many up and coming festivals such as Love Summer, Grinagog and Lowde Fest in spreading the word. In 2018, the band look forward to performing at the F1 Grand Prix at Silverstone having won a competition in 2017 at Moto GP. The Rezner are an alternative/indie-rock 4-piece from the sunny south-west. Since forming in 2016, The Rezner have already been picked up by the public for their unique live performances full of ‘live on-stage energy’ that captivates the audience from the moment the music starts. There sound has been described as a blend between 90’s ‘Madchester’ indie and the likes of the Foo Fighters full frontal, in your face Rock – as journalists have already said they “basically sound like The Rezner”.

RedRooms are female fronted four-piece band from Manchester creating songs full of dreamy ambition.  The Songs of RedRooms explore topics often shied away from or avoided in the 3-minute-form. All of which comes together to form a sound that is both dramatic and melodic.

“When worlds collide; RedRooms’ smashing 70’s new wave is fuelled by the exciting, emerging sound of yesteryears compelling NYC scene : RedRooms evoke the spirit of Television, Patti Smith and PJ Harvey into an emotional, driving cascade of guitars and soaring vocals – their 21st Century Pop Cult narrative and fuzzed guitar janglings also explore elements of our post industrial back streets littered with psych undertones. Refreshingly different.” manchestermusic.co.uk, March 2018
